How can I rent a car with Waycar?

How much does it cost to rent a car?

The price may vary depending on the car category you select and the rental period. If you rent the car for three days, we offer you a 10% discount, while if you rent it for 7 days, you will get a 20% discount.

What do I need to rent a car?


For renting a car with Waycar, you will need to present an original driving license, which has to be granted for at least a year and a day, and your personal ID, in its original copy too.

In addition, you need a credit or debit card that is in the driver's name and that must be presented when you pick up the car. To make the online payment, you can also use a card headed to a different person.

What’s the minimum age for renting a car?


The minimum age for rental is 19 years. Please note that drivers between the ages of 19 and 23 are subject to the payment of an additional daily rate, as a young driver's insurance.

Can I rent a car for someone else?


You can make a reservation in someone else's name and use your credit card for online payment. However, remember to enter the actual driver's data into the system. When picking up the car, the driver must present their documents, including a credit card in their own name.

Where will the vehicle be picked up?


You can pick up the car at the Sicilian airports of Trapani, Catania, Palermo and Fiumicino or at our offices in Trapani city in Via Ammiraglio Staiti, 73 and San Vito Lo Capo in via Pier Santi Mattarella, 33.

Our office serving Palermo airport is located in Terrasini, a town located a few kilometers from Punta Raisi. To reach our office, we offer you a shuttle service, which you can use by calling +39 091 556 70 77 or +39 388 92 31 559. The Waycar shuttle stop is located in front of the pharmacy at the airport exit. Please do not take any other shuttles.

The Rome Fiumicino office is located outside the airport, just a few minutes away. To reach the car oick-up point, simply call +39 333 855780 to request the free shuttle service (FiumicinoPark). To take the shuttle, go to the departures area of ​​terminal 1 door 5, or terminal 3 door 1, in front of the smoking area. Please do not take any other shuttles.

Is it necessary to wait for a confirmation to know the availability of the vehicle?


No, the vehicles you see on our website are automatically available.

Is it possible to rent a car without a credit card?


Yes, it is possible. If you do not have a credit card available, you can decide to pay for the car rental directly at the office when you pick the vehicle up. In addition, you will be asked to take out Full Pack insurance, which allows you to pick up your rental car without necessarily having a credit card.

Is a security deposit required when renting without a credit card?

Yes, for the rental without a credit card a security deposit of Eur 100.00 is required for the Cat. B-C; of Eur 150,00 for Cat. D-DA-F-M-N-NA; of Eur 200,00 for Cat. F, to be cashed and/or blocked on the main driver's debit card.

The requested debit card will only serve as a guarantee for non-refueling or for the management of payments of any fines received.

What do I need to rent without a credit card?

The customer must show at the counter:

1. valid driving license;
2. identity document or passport;
3. debit card in the name of the main driver.

It will be mandatory to sign up and pay for the specific insurance coverage for this rental formula.

Can I modify or cancel my reservation?


Yes, you can make changes by contacting our call center and you can cancel your reservation up to 48 hours before the start of the rental without any penalty charged.

What happens if I don't pick up the car at the scheduled time?

If you do not arrive within two hours of the scheduled pick-up time, this situation will be considered a no show and the car you booked could be rented to someone else. In case of no show, no refunds can be made.

Can I leave the deposit in cash?

No. Under no circumstances

Does the card necessarily have to be nominal?

Yes, the card must be nominal and the name on it must necessarily be that of the main rental driver. Debit, debit and nominal rechargeable cards with chip, IBAN and PIN code are accepted.
